They are more consistent with one another, and they definitely sound better on the whole. They feature transistors that are marked NKT-275, but Analogman points out that these are different animals than those that were used in mid-60s FFs. That said they do sound decent, especially for a mass-produced pedal (as I doubt they have someone sifting through a huge store of transistors, testing each one to see whether it's one of the few optimal gain transistors or one of the many "junk" ones). The reissue does have a few drawbacks, however. The switch is wired directly to the circuit board, which makes modding it a pain, and probably most unfortunate is that they lack the smiley face cutout. Considering that you can get a very good quality Monsterpiece fuzz for less, or Euthymia Crucible fuzz or MJM London Fuzz for slightly more than a new Reissue, you are probably paying a bit of a premium for the cool look of the fuzz face case. Without a mouth its not much of a face, and without a face, it's just a fuzz.
